Cervical Disc Decompression: Cervical rib Management – Physical Therapy? or surgery?

Hi, I have 36 years, female, professor suffering neck and shoulder pain hand during the last 6 months. X-ray: large complete bilateral cervical ribs, nerve conduction study: Normal. RM: There are no disk problems.: Negative Adson in the test. I underwent physical therapy (Ultra Sound, IFT, release the trigger point, stretching, etc) for about two weeks. But the pain and discomfort persists. I could not do over the activities of the head (the writing on bulletin boards, etc, corrections of paper, washing etc.) Even at rest, I have also pain in the fingers especially. Doctor suggested to go for decompression surgery. Please help me out. Thanking-Uma Shankar

Cervical Disc Decompression – Helpful Advice

it seems that the plexus brechial is involved, Wil ultrasound IFT will not help many reasons to try to suppress pain without eliminating the cause of pain. go for intermittent cervical traction (ICT) for 3 times, but be careful when taking ICT, if you experience dizziness or blurred vision or exaggeration of symptoms to ask the doc to stop immediately.don TIC ‘t be more cautious, if properly managed ICT is a very safe treatment. seconds you are going for the mobilization of neural tissue, such as ULTT with stretching of all soft tissues around the neck bilaterally. the duration of treatment should be only six days, if you do not receive any significant relief at 6 days after surgery. not be more enthusiastic, be patient, do not expect miraculous changes in 6 days should ba good relief only. good luck Cervical Disc Decompression
