cervical disc
Has anyone had a cervical disc replacement and fusion with titanium plates and screws?

If surgury on 01 June this year and I'm still in pain. My C5-C6 disc was bulging and laying on my nerve. My right hand and arm is still numb and tingling. I just had an EMG performed in the arm law and test the nerves went well. I'm tired of pain! I have not been able to work since December last year and asked me for SSD and was denied and now called me. I can not survive like this, economically, physically and emotionally! Yes, I'm still going to therapy. So far i; I had almost 20 º session since the surgery. My cat scan after surgery showed that my cervical fusion is not melted yet. The doctor says that's typical from I'm in my 50's and I can not bounce back as a young man of 19 years.

Man, I feel bad for you. Keep appealing those denials, and perhaps get a lawyer to help. Meantime, Have you ever gone to a pain clinic? The aim of the physician to focus on just ur pain! They also offer painkillers, trigger point injections, epidurals, items such as units of tens, just to name a few. I had an EMG done in years past the wrist, left normal, and after years of specialists, physical therapy, medications useless, eventually I had to have major surgery on my wrist, had to be rebuilt wrist. So, my opinion of EMG are not always best. Other issues I have chronic pain due to injury over 20 years. One thing have so far is the Pain Clinic. A friend of mine had similar problems as those who speak of u. She goes to the Pain Clinic and has a lot more quality better life. Have you tried anti-inflammatorys as ibuprofen 800 mg every 6 hours, raising his right arm, using hot / cold packs in it, and get a second opinion? You have a very bad chronic pain problem. I would suggest a Pain Clinic. Hope this helped out a bit. Also try a product called "Thermacare" – is like having a platform of heat without a power-lasts eight hours, putting down deep heat in the area of pain. They help with some ur issues. Just some thoughts strong bandage for a problem you have. Take care and good luck!
